Teething is for the birds

Callen has been trying to cut teeth since first part of January. To date Callen has no teeth. He has drooled, cried, sucked on his fingers, sucked on other people's figures, sucked on teething rings, ice cubes, and we even bough a small calf nipple. With all that all we have seen is a small little piece of tooth come up and go back down in one week.

However, this past week has been the pits for poor little C (and me, if I must say) with the "teething" situation. He is not cutting his front teeth, nope that would be way to easy. HE IS CUTTING HIS BOTTOM BACK TEETH....ALL OF THEM. It is horrible. For the past two nights I have stayed up with him because he is unable to sleep. He has ran a fever, been cranky, not wanted down, upset stomach that turned into nasty diapers in the middle of the night, and cried on end. And of course....NOTHING HELPS. We have tried the gel, we have tried stuff to suck on, we have tried pain reliever....nothing works!

Poor baby...I feel so bad for him. I cry right along with him. The other night we stayed up till 3 and watched endless episodes of The Backyardigans together...I love my time with my sweet baby...but, staying up till three is pushing it just a little (especially when I have to wake up at 6 for work). Oh well, we or he will get through it. Hopefully, we will see some back teeth before too long...we best with all this work and pain poor C Baby is having to go through.

Tanner Blosser (family friend) is keeping Callen for two weeks while I finish up work. Tanner is doing great with him (and his teething)...and Callen just loves Uncle Tanner! So blessed to have such wonderful friends.

Enjoy the weekend...C and I will spend it chewing on ice!
