Last weekend we loaded up and headed down 412 to the big city of Tulsa, OK. It was a great weekend and it was so nice to see my BFFL, Coleman. We arrived pretty late Friday and immediately crashed, since Coleman and I had to be up bright and early for our Color Run.
I am happy to say that we both SURVIVED and with FLYING COLORS (pun intended). It was so much fun and I would do it again, probably in a heartbeat. It was a beautiful morning in Tulsa and Coleman and I rocked the race....we finished in 40 minutes. And that was including stopping to get color poured on us and to take pictures. I would say that is pretty AMAZING...since neither of us even tried to prepare for this 5K. Granted, we were insanely sore the next few days...but, it felt pretty good to do something that I really did not think I could do! Plus, the Mexican food afterwards totally made up for the run we had just completed!
Jason and Callen enjoyed their day getting donuts, eating Chinese food (Callen loved it), going shopping and going to the aquarium in Jenks. Callen had such a good time at the aquarium. He loved feeding the turtles carrots and talked about it for days. He had a so much fun with his day out with Dad. He is blessed with a pretty awesome Dad.
Once everyone was back at Coleman's house we had a cookout and play Yahtzee and were in bed before 11. It was so nice to just hang out and catch up. We had a wonderful time.
Tomorrow, we are heading to OKC to watch a special young lady get her State FFA Degree and hopefully State FFA office! It is going to be a busy few weeks for our little family...but a lot of fun along the way and getting to see some wonderful friends and family!
Prerace...we were so clean!
After the race...too much fun!
***I will post pictures of the aquarium soon, just not uploaded yet.
