Well, Hello There

It has been seriously forever since my last update.  I have failed miserably on keeping up with all of Elliot's life events.  I started a 6 month update a month ago, but never seemed to find time to get it finished.  So, here is six months and SEVEN in a nutshell!

We had six month shots in May and Elliot had a horrible response to them.  She cried for about 15 hours a day (none stop) for a week.  Luckily, my mom was out here to help.  I seriously don't think I would have made it through the week without her help.  I would take colic and reflux over the reaction to the shots if I had to pick!  Luckily, our doctor is awesome and said next time we will give one shot a week until we have completed her shot requirement for the stage.  She was about 15.5 lbs and 26 inches long at 6 months.  She has grown A LOT since then.  Her acid reflux is hit or miss.  We are working on taking her off all medicine, it is a slow process.  So far, we are at 8 days with no medicine before she starts her reflux back up.  So, we are improving.  The lactose is still a problem, so still no milk for me.  I miss cereal and ice cream...but it is worth having a happy baby.

She loves FOOD. The girl can eat.  She loves green beans and squash.  She isn't a big fan of fruit.  Which is odd.  She is happy and healthy and that is all that matters.  She is such a happy baby.  She always is laughing or smiling.  So nice, since the first 2 months of her life all she did was scream.  Funny how time changes things!  So thankful.

The past few weeks, Elliot has been on the move.  She has not gotten crawling down just yet; however, she is scooting.  She is a baby that has to have her hands and mouth on everything.  She is such a mess. She is going to keep me on my toes!

We went to Broken Bow, OK with my parents and my sister's family.  We had a great vacation.  Callen and Elliot loved the water.  Callen loved riding go carts.  He could not get enough of them.

Elliot loves Callen so much, I think he is her favorite person.  They have such a great time together.  He loves making her laugh and she can make Callen roll with laughter.  It is such a sweet relationship.  I pray it continues.

We celebrated Father's Day at home.  We had a wonderful day just hanging out as a family.  It was much needed since the Month of May and start of June were so busy.

We are planning a 4th of July getaway to OKC.  Callen has been wanting to go to White Water Bay for a long time, so we thought it would be fun to take him.  We may go to the zoo or the Children's Museum...or just relax and hang out.

We have stayed busy this summer with a lot of swimming, playdates and just plan being busy.  We have been blessed with wonderful friends and friends for our kids.  It is so much fun to see the kids play and talk with each other.  Callen has such a sweet friendship with his best friend, Halle.  They love each other so much and are pretty much inseparable when together.

Callen loves to swim.  He has gotten so good at it.  He loves swimming underwater and diving for things.  It makes me a little nervous...but, I know he will be fine!  Elliot loves the water, too!  Elliot loves outside and would spend all day outside if I would!

Life is great in our household!  Sorry for the delay in updates!!!
