On Saturday Jason and I took Callen to his first livestock show. He was decked out in his boots and jeans and his "I love FFA girls" shirt. I think this is the most excited I have been to take Callen somewhere (sad I know). Showing was a major part of my life and also Jason's....so, I was excited to let him see the "show" animals for the first time and share the experience that I love so very much with him. I showed/raised sheep, so I was excited to show him the sheep and he loved them! He just pet the sheep's head and talked to it. So proud! Yes, I was one of those people that let me kid rub all over other people's animals that are ready to show. I hated those kinds of people when I showed...and look I turned into them. :) Jason, of course, thinks that no child of his shall ever show a sheep...was excited to let C see the pigs. He also loved the pigs...we picked a friendly one to let him lay on and touch. Pig didn't seem to mind...and C loved the pig...Just not as much as the sheep! haha.
My mom spent the week with us last week. It was great getting to spend the week with her and let her love all over C. She taught him some new habits and they both enjoyed each other. While my mom was here, Callen found a new love.....THE REMOTE TO THE TV. That is right...he loves the remote. He now has his own remote and it pretty much goes everywhere with him. I have a strange kid. He has also fallen in love with the T.V....he watches it none stop...the movement, sound, etc. It is amazing to see him changing and growing.
Today is C's first Valentine's Day....he got a book and a toy from us. He also got a ton of cards and clothes from his Aunt Lori. Thanks Aunt Lori for the great clothes! And everyone else's love on V-day!
I will post pictures of C's livestock show!
Happy Valentine's Day...I will give C extra kisses today for all of you!
