I have not blogged in so long...so sorry family and friends. Things have been crazy around here lately, so finding the time to sit and write and post pictures has been difficult to find. Basketball season is super busy right now, so Jason is gone most nights to ref games. Leaving me to entertain a baby...therefore, no blogging from me.
Lots and lots of stuff has been happening in Mr. C's busy life! For one, he has decided that he is in too big of a hurry to let you feed him his cereal...instead he needs to feed himself. Ya know...why not?!? So, he has his own spoon that he "eats" with and it ends up everywhere but his mouth. Oh well, I just let him do it. He also enjoys trying to eat the bowl while you are feeding him. Needless to say cereal feeding is a messy time at our house. (Pictures to come tomorrow.)
He has also started to show his temper...I have no idea where he got this temper from ;). If you are not feeding him fast enough, or if you do something that annoys, bothers, etc. He will make this crazy loud grunting noise. He has been showing this temper a lot...oh what a joy it is. We can't help but laugh. I have it on video and I will post it tomorrow. Promise.
He is also teething...some days are great, other days are okay, and so days are just horrible. I can't imagine how painful it must be for him. And they recalled teething tablets (the miracle help)....so we are stuck with ice and orajel.
Last week it was so nice outside so Callen and I got to enjoy a few hours in the sun. He got to ride in his stroller for the first time and play outside. I can't wait for spring/summer so we can enjoy the beautiful weather and SWIM!
Callen also got to meet COWS for the first time last week...he wasn't too sure of them and they were very sure of him either. And he also got his first look at a John Deere...this made his father very happy and I know Jason was just picturing Callen one day farming right along with him. Me, I don't think I am ready for that. We will let Callen decide that one day, I guess!
It was so very cold this week...so Callen and I did a lot of cuddling. I just love snuggling with him. And I cherish it because I know in just a few months he will want to be running around not snuggling up with me. I was so excited that we were going to get snow this week...and boy did we! A whole 1 inch! WOW! It was great to see so much snow. Grr. I am so jealous of my friends and family in the City and Tulsa that are unable to get out of their homes because of the 6 ft snow drift infront of their door. S0, Callen still has not experience his first big snow...maybe next year. ha!
Callen gets to experience his first livestock show next weekend...I am very excited about this. I have his boots and jeans ready to go and his "I Love FFA Girls" shirt ready for him to wear. I anticipate that the noise will scare him...but, as long as he likes the sheep I am okay! :)
My mom is coming out this week to spend with us. I could not be more excited. Jason will be gone a lot this next week for work and basketball, so it will be so nice to have her here. I wish she lived closer. My life just seems at peace when she is here. Can't wait for her to be able to love on Callen and Callen being able to see his favorite person in the world. Yes, I have been beat...my mother is his favorite, next to his Aunt Kathy, and then his girlfriend Josie. I still rank up pretty high though since I have the food! :)
I will post pictures tomorrow, I promise. Along with his first "solid food" picture...we are trying green beans tomorrow!
Have a super weekend filled with greatness and SNOW for those in OKC and Tulsa!
