Time Is Flying By...

We are in the middle of July and Callen is almost 9 months old. Where has the time gone? Seems like yesterday Jason and I were talking about baby bed stuff, now...we just hope Callen sleeps in his baby bed for a few hours! Callen is growing like a weed. He is getting so tall. He is 30 inches long...where did this height thing come from?!? I got him sized for shoes last weekend in OKC and the lady couldn't believe the size of his feet. He is in a size 4.5. She said most 1 year olds don't have that size of a foot. He will slow down. We are just enjoying our BIG BOY!

Callen is changing and is on the move all the time. He sticks his tongue out all the time and he has learned "no". He shakes his head when he doesn't want something or he just shakes to shake it. He is trying to walk. He stands alone, but it makes him nervous so he falls down. He will get there. He has also learned how to throw a ball. He loves balls and he throws them to you and then wants you to throw them back. Future baseball player?? He also loves playing with cars and he even makes sounds when playing with them. Not car sounds, but sounds.

Last week Jason, Callen and I went to my parent's house to see my sister and nephew. It was great being with the family. It was fun to see my nephew and Callen together. Callen has never been around kids, so it was fun to watch him "learn" from Ethan. While in OKC we went to the zoo. Jason and I both have been excited about taking C to the zoo. Yes, he is small, but Callen loves animals and we just wanted to introduce him to all the different kinds. It was extremely HOT (106) and C slept through some of it...but, he seemed to really like the animals. Especially the monkey area. We will have to go back when he is bigger and not so HOT!

My parent's also have a pool...Callen loves the water and he spent a lot of time splashing and playing in the water. He loves putting his face in the water and kicking his feet. Jason and I are thinking of getting a pool for us all to enjoy and to let C continue his love for water.

This week we are enjoying the week at home. Getting Callen back on a regular nap schedule and inside playing where it is cool. Next week we all head to Falls Creek. It will be a long week and very hot. However, if it gets too much for Callen my parent's will gladly come and take him to their house. I doubt he makes it all week, we shall see.

Summer is quickly rounding the corner. Hopefully, it cools down so we can enjoy the summer a little more!
