Christmas is officially over and it is time to prepare for 2013. We had a wonderful Christmas and I am sad that Christmas is over.
We celebrated in OKC over the weekend and had wonderful time with family and friends. So nice to relax and catch up. Then we spent Christmas Day at home with just us three. While it was new, spending Christmas with just us, it was nice to kick back and relax and spend the day as a family. Callen had a great time opening presents and playing with them. He left (eaten) cookies for Santa and woke up to a room full of presents. He quickly grabbed the biggest box and immediately said, "oh, presents." If he like a gift he would say, "Oh, wow." If he did not like (or was not that impressed, I should say), he would say, "Okay", and go to the next one.
His favorite gifts are a Thomas Look and Find book (so odd that the cheapest was his favorite), and a roller coaster ride-on deal (he loves to show off on it), and a Sesame Street kitchen.
We did receive a white Christmas this year. Not a lot of snow, but an inch or so. It has been too cold to get out and enjoy it, maybe this weekend we can enjoy it.
Now, it is time to get the boxes out and put up the Christmas decorations and begin again with the busy schedules. My goal in 2013 is to enjoy life and my family more this year...take things that are unnecessary out of my (like Facebook) and make time for more time playing on the floor with a two year old and finding better ways to be a wife.
