Even though I did not get to see or spend time with my dad on Father's Day, I still honored him today and reflected on what a tremendous Dad and man he was and still is. I have been blessed with my dad's odd sense of humor and a little off the wall comments and thoughts. I was also blessed with his temper (we can control it, it is just there when needed). However, I was also blessed with his ability to love, teach and to stand for what I believe in. My dad is such a hard worker and and while I can honestly say I did not get that trait, I did learn how to work from him. However, I also learned how "not to do it," so Dad would come and do it. I love my Dad and all that he is. He is one amazing guy. And while he is a wonderful dad, he is an even better Papa. Callen absolutely adores him and can't wait to talk or see or play with Papa. I was truly blessed with one heck of a Dad. And let's not forget my mom. She just needs one word to describe her...amazing.
It is also Jason's day. And I must say, it has been so much fun watching Jason grow and become a Dad. Callen loves his daddy and runs to see him every time he comes home. He is such a positive and Godly influence on Callen. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful man in our lives.
To all those Dad's...I hope you each had a wonderful day relaxing or spending it with those you love. I know our casa had an amazing nap and a fun time playing together today. That is what Father's Day is...family.
