Callen and I rejoined our usual life on Saturday night. We made it home safely around 6:30 and were quickly welcomed home by the horrendous wind. I guess it was greeting us back to the panhandle or reminding us just how windy it is. We quickly got back into the swing of things, after all a one year old doesn't stop.
Callen had a wonderful time with May-May and Pops-Pops-Pops and he woke up this morning pretty disappointed that May-May was not there to greet him. However, Callen will be spending Thursday-Sunday by himself with May-May and Pops-Pops. You read correctly, I am leaving Callen for 3 nights to go skiing with some friends. I have continually prayed and prayed that I would handle this transaction okay and that Callen would sleep well. I am not worried about leaving Callen, I know he will be in great (spoiled) hands. I am just nervous about leaving him for that long. The last time I left him for an extended period of time was when I was still working (8/9 hrs a day)....so, we are going from being together 24/7 to 4 full days of no Momma and Callen time. We will make it, worse for me then him I know. So, if you have a spare pray please pray for me this week that I will handle this separation and that Callen will be fine. Skiing will be fun, just have to get my mind away from home to enjoy it.
We are busy getting the house back in order and the laundry caught up from our little hiatus and as always starting a new crazy week in our little family.
