The fall like weather has officially hit our small town. I love fall and having a baby with a fall birthday makes this time of year even better!
I can't believe that October is already here. This year has flown by (I know this is said all the time, but time really is going faster, in my opinion). It is so hard to believe that Callen is going to be TWO in just two weeks! He is growing and changing so much...he is talking and putting words and sentences together. It is so much fun to see what will come out of his mouth.
Last weekend we went to OKC to see Thomas the Train. He had a great time. He loved the train tables and meeting Sir Topham Hatt and seeing Thomas. He could have cared less about actually riding the train. Pictures to come!
Speaking of pictures....Callen did GREAT getting his two year pics taken! He flirted and smiled for his pictures and loved every single minute of them! I can't wait to see them!
I bought Callen a few pumpkins and I have tried to talk him into painting them. He is not into it yet. However, he did pick his own pumpkin out and he is very proud of it. It is sitting in his room...waiting to be painted or maybe just a decoration. Who knows.
Callen spends several hours a day (would play all day if I let him) playing with his Thomas the Train stuff. He does not have a lot of Thomas stuff, just some track he "took" from "Ra-Ra's (new name for grandma) and Pa-Pa's house and also some trains he "took" too. However, he is so happy with the handful of things that he does have and will play and play and play with them. Gordon and Thomas (Me) are still his favorite trains and he usually sleeps with them at night and asks for them as soon as he wakes up in the morning.
I took Callen last week for his two year check-up. The doctor was very pleased with how he is growing. He is tall and skinny, but nothing to be concerned with! He said he was "advanced" for his age with his speech and toilet training. In other words he is perfect!
