Snow Day

Callen and I are in Oklahoma City for a little getaway while Jason is visiting Washington D.C..  We were blessed with snow in the panhandle and the flu!  Our school had to be shut down today due to so many sick with the flu.  I am praying everyone gets over it quickly and that my little family does not get it!  We needed the snow, and while I do not know exactly how much we received it is great to get some!

Yesterday was Jason's 30th birthday and he had a very memorable 30th!  He spent the majority of his birthday in DFW airport waiting on a flight to D.C..  His flight was suppose to leave around 8 or so and it was canceled due to storms or something in D.C. After two more canceled/delayed flights he finally flew to Charlotte then to D.C. arriving around 6:30....6 hours after his first time of arrival.  His luggage did not make it...however, he did!  Glad he is finally in our Nation's Capitol!  Can't wait for him to get home and tell me all about it.

Sunday, we celebrated Jason's birthday with family and close friends.  We had a shrimp boil (it actually turned out great) and a wonderful time being with those that are so special to us.  Callen was very excited about "Daddy's party" and was very disappointed when I told him there would be no presents.  I told him that is what happens as you get older, no presents!

We are hoping to make our way back to the panhandle tomorrow, if the weather allows.  Our trips are never long enough!
