Sorry for the Past Gripe Sessions

I have noticed as of late that all my past posts have mainly been about one GRIPE after another GRIPE.  So sorry to grip to each of you.  My writing style is going to change and so is my state of mind!

Callen has been a pill these past few weeks; however, most kids have their moments.  Some might last a few minutes, hours or years...I am blessed no matter how long his "fits" last.  So, thank you for the prayers and encouraging words these past few weeks, I have felt the love and prayers and it seems as though things are changing.  God hears our prayers and he only gives us what we can handle...I have had my load and I guess God knows that.

Callen is currently snacking on french fries and a cheeseburger from McDonalds, oh and ketchup, of course!  We had a morning out and about in the sleet and snow (lesson learned, check the weather before making plans).

One of the morning outings including going up to the school to make sure all the 5/8th grade writing test materials had arrived safely to the school.  Going to the school is just about a weekly occurrence this time of year and I believe Callen thinks he pretty much runs the school.  As soon as he gets there he immediately runs into the office to help Anna (the schools secretary) with her work.  They are pretty good buds.  And then he just runs all over the school until he finds someone that is willing to take him to the gym or just play with him.  The benefits of a small school and everyone knowing who the random 1 year old is running around!  And he knows right where his "Aunt LaLa's" room is and takes off for it as soon as it is in sight.  A school visit MUST include seeing LaLa for Callen.

After school it was off to find DADDY a perfect birthday cake (or at least a birthday cake).  However, I did not know it was sleeting and snowing.  I still made the trip, simply because it isn't a birthday unless you have a cake.  Yes, I know I could have made one...but, let's be realistic here.  After a trip to the grocery store and the only place in town that has birthday cakes we were headed back home in the snow and sleet.  Callen had a fantastic day out and about, and I am going with the thought process that we are on the up and up and that things are going to get better.  It is a state of mind...that is what I keep telling myself. If I think positive then things will be better.

He really is a good kid with a temper, but a good kid.  So my dear readers...I am sorry for the gripping.  I will start writing about positive things and not about BLAH days!
