C ready for Christmas
Loving grandma and grandpa
He loves Auntie Jen
Baby C's printsI can't believe Christmas is just a few days away. Time is just flying by (I think I say this in every blog). We have a very busy Christmas season this year...but, it will be worth it.
Callen and I just got home from spending a few days with my parents and my sister and nephew in Ft. Worth. It was a great time...so good to be all together! Callen and I saw Ethan's (nephew) school play...it was long, but Callen did a great job through it and Ethan did great! After the play we went to Galleria Mall in Dallas...we saw the HUGE Christmas tree and then went ice skating. Callen and my dad did not take part. It was a lot of fun to skate around with my mom, sister and nephew. We also got Callen and Ethan's pictures taken together. They are very precious. We got several Christmas like pictures and then the best (I think) the rival pictures. Ethan wore his nasty Texas Longhorns shirt and Callen was in his OU Sooners shirt. They were way too cute. So happy we got those done! We spent a lot of time shopping...Callen did a great job, he was never fussy. So glad to have such a great baby that can just go with the flow. He got tired of being in his carseat and traveling...but he did great.
Speaking of traveling...this trip was Callen and I's first trip alone. We left on Wednesday to go to my parents and had to stop 3 times on the four hour trip. Once we got past Oakwood, OK (which is about 2 1/2 hours from Balko) he sleep the rest of the trip. He did excellent on the way down and back from Ft. Worth and on the way back to Balko. So proud of him.
Well...the rest of our Christmas is just a whirlwind. I am kinda sad that it is so rushed...but we will handle it and that is what we have to do for C's first Christmas! Tomorrow we go to the doctor to get Callen's first round of shots (not fun) and for his check up. Wednesday we have Christmas with Jason's parents. Then Thursday we leave for my parents and will come back early Sunday morning for Jason's entire family Christmas. Callen will finally get to meet the entire family! Then Sunday night my two best friends from college are coming to spend a few days in Balko and getting to meet Callen. Then "Uncle Drew" (Jason's best friend) is coming to stay the 29th and 30th with us. We are very excited to see our best friends and introduce them to Callen. Then on the 31st we are having a lock-in for the youth. Yup, that is our Christmas.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas with family and celebrating the birth of our Savior!
