Sickness

Well...Sweet Callen's life was turned upside yesterday when he woke up around 5 with a really bad head cold. I wasn't going to think that much into it, until I heard him try to breath. I then decided it was time to make an appointment with the doctor to get C better. Luckily we caught it early and it is only in his head (thank you God)! Dr. Siewert said that it was a good thing we brought him in when we did so it didn't turn into an ear infection or RSV. So, we are on more medicine and nasal spray. He slept all day yesterday with a very congested nose...but, he slept. And he slept all night last night...until about 6 or so when he couldn't breath anymore. The recliner is my new bed.

Now onto a funny note about C sickness. The doctor said to make a tent with sheets and either the couch or the recliner and then put the humidifier under it. Well...we tried this...it was a huge project and something I just couldn't grasp. Besides, our couches were too tall and it just wasn't working. Soooo....what do you do? Well, in this house we actually put up a tent. Yes, a tent in our living room. That is right, we camped in our living room with the humidifier. C was then "tented" in with the humidifier in his basket. It seemed to work. I took pictures of this adventure, I will post later. I felt like Amelia Bedelia, actually putting a tent in the living room...taking the doctor literal. haha. Oh well, the things we do for our kids. Tonight it is Jason's night to sleep in the tent...I get the bed. Hello weekend when Jason can take care of him!
