Oh...and Birthday CAKE!

I thought I would continue with the theme of BIRTHDAY for today's post. I completely forgot to write about Callen's cake experience.

If ya know me, you know I love sweets and Jason has a sweet tooth for candy too, so we both thought that the want for sweets would be a given for Mr. Callen. The few sweets Callen has had he has enjoyed (Dum Dum suckers, bit of taffy, Sara Sara Cupcake)...however, he was not a fan of his CAKE. In everyone's mind you have what a ONE YEAR old should look like after eating his/her birthday cake. I was prepared for the mess and was looking forward to seeing him dig into it....however, Callen was not having it. He just sat in his highchair and stared at the cake. Now, I must say before I continue, Callen loves food, he eats really really well. He eats anything you put in front of him except for a few things that have odd textures; but he has always tried eating whatever is in front of him. So, he sat and stared at his Backyardigans little cake and would not even touch it. I put his hand into the cake and you would have thought I did something way wrong by the way he looked at me.

The next day Jason and I decided to try the cake situation again. I thought maybe there were just too many people around and he didn't feel comfortable...well, after major persuasion there still wasn't any luck with the cake. Who would have thought?!? We will try one more time with another cake on his actual birthday. Maybe this time will work. Maybe he is just waiting to actually be ONE before he dives into his little cake.

Again, no pics. I haven't uploaded ANY and my mom's computer is not working...so there is a delay. I will do a huge picture post after his actual birthday.
