Christmas is officially over. I am always sad to see Christmas go; however, this year it just seemed like Christmas was a mad dash and this little family never got to catch their breath. I am sad that the excitement of Christmas is over, but I am looking forward to 2012 and the excitement of watching Callen change and grow even more.
Callen had an excellent Christmas and has all kinds of new toys to play with. Our house currently looks like Santa's workshop exploded. Callen loves all his new toys, especially the ones that came with balls to put in and throw. And all his new animal toys.
It took Callen a long time to finally realize what presents were. Santa came to our house Saturday morning (Christmas Eve) and he could have cared less about his presents. He loved his stocking and the stuff that was in his stocking. However, he was more content to play with his old toys than look at his new ones. We didn't finish opening his gifts at our house till yesterday.
Saturday afternoon was Christmas with Jason's family. Callen got a lot of new tractors. And had a great time.
Saturday night we headed to my parent's house and to spend Christmas there. Santa came Christmas morning and Callen once again could care less about the presents. However, finally at the end of the day when he was still trying to open his presents (we took several breaks) he finally figured out how to rip the paper and that something under the paper was a toy. Once the paper was off though he could have cared less. It took two days to get his presents opened up at Ma and Pop's house due to his lack of caring.
We got home from OKC yesterday afternoon and finished opening his gifts and making room in our toy room/living room for the new ones. It is time to go through all the toys and purge toys no longer played with.
Christmas was a wonderful time filled with family and love. I am so glad Callen was able to experience this special time of year and I know next Christmas will be even bigger for him.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and was truly blessed this magnificent season.
